About MEDIAL

Headquartered in the UK, MEDIAL is an award-winning software-based solution that is used by hundreds of education and enterprise organizations worldwide to simplify the integration of streaming video by creating an easy-to-implement workflow.

 

MEDIAL was founded in 2008, and in 2010 our original Video Library Server software was white labeled as Helix Media Library by streaming media pioneer RealNetworks, Inc.

Following the exit of RealNetworks, Inc. from the streaming media arena in 2014, Helix Media Library was rebranded as MEDIAL whereupon we took over product and customer management.

 

In 2016, we partnered with another streaming media giant, Wowza Media Systems LLC, and fused our award-winning platform with their industry-leading Wowza Streaming Engine® 

 

When we got into the streaming business, our intention was to make “great” even better. 

 

Too many companies make assumptions about what their users need or leverage marketing techniques to create needs that might not even exist. We believe that to create a great product we needed to listen to the people, both creators and viewers, who are actually using it. So we built our product based on the knowledge of teachers, students, managers, trainers and all other kinds of users.

 

And we don’t stop when the product hits the market – we continue to talk to our customers, get their feedback, address their needs, and come up with new features as needed and as they become technologically feasible. 

You could say that we are in business with our customers. We communicate with them, we advise them, we train them on MEDIAL, and we learn from them to constantly evolve and simplify the process of publishing content.
